Step 1: Choose the Desired Color Tone
According to the GIA color grading standards, cultured diamonds are graded from low to high in the following order:
Faint, Very Light, Light, Fancy Light, Fancy, Fancy Intense, Fancy Vivid, Fancy Deep, and Fancy Dark.
Fancy Vivid is generally considered the most valuable and popular color grade in the market. However, color does not have a distinction of good or bad, superior or inferior. As long as it is pleasing to the eye, it is considered the best color.

Step 2: Select the Clarity
When evaluating the quality of a cultured diamond, color is the most important factor, followed by clarity. For example, a lab grown fancy colored diamond with a high level of color purity will definitely have a higher value compared to a diamond with high clarity but a lower color grade.
